As R’ Fischel Schachter writes in his introduction, “The Shabbos table has always been, is and always will be the main base solidifying Jewish families.” He writes about when he was at the home of R’ Michel Yehudah Lefkowitz Z”L, and how the R”Y, literally with tears in his eyes, explained how important Zemiros are for a Jewish family.
This Sefer will hopefully change the way many families have their Shabbos meal. The stunning illustrations by noted artist Yeshaya Suval, as well as the easy to read English translations, should make just about anyone appreciate the Shabbos Zemiros even more. Each song has a Dvar Torah, or “Torah Tidbit” about the song, as well as an introduction.
